Some people were born in rich families and some were born in poor ones.
You may complain about the unfairness of fate.
But there is one absolutely fair thing-time.
Spending every minute on working will only make you stress out.
Managing your time effectively between work and life.
Because life is not all about work.
We have family and friends to take care of.
We also need happiness.
I always believe that to be a successful person
You need to be a good leader in the work place
And at the same time a good manager of your own life.

blog
I definitely think it is an effective way to communicate through
the blog. It is very enjoyable to read the blog postings and the
comments.I think it is a good way to know the different side of
a person.Sometime i cannot relate the blog i was reading to the
person i saw in the class. For example, i find that many people
are very quiet in the class but their writings are quite lively and
funny. Besides that it is a an easy and impressive way to learn
the lectures better. We get a blog assignment after the class
activity. I think it is a good method to generalize how the
activities relate to the lectures.

Leadership type test
My test result shows that i tend to have Sc (Steadiness-Conscientiousness) leadership type. Basically this type of management focus on the cooperation with others and prefers systematic works. I think the result is quite accurate. I don't like to persuade others because it is a waste of time. I like the kind of work environment that has explicit rules to follow. That is why i am planning Accounting as my career; the standards are there and there is very little change in a certain period of time.
Although i don't want to have another types of personality, if i try hard, i think it is possible for me to become the other types. I always believe that environment can change a person. Once you are in that position, you can achieve something or become the type of person you never imagined before.
I'm not sure if this kind of test necessary in a work place. On one hand it is helpful on the division of labour, but on the other hand many people may lose the chance to discover the talents they don't even realize.

My visions
The video we watched last week mentioned that not only adults have vision about the future, but also children do. When i was a little kid, i always imagined the picture that i had my own grocery store. Back to the time when i was a fourth grade elementary student, i had a friend whose family was running a very small grocery store in the village we lived. I remember that i spent a lot of weekends in their store. Till today, having a grocery store is still one of the things i want to do most. I know in many people's eyes, it is not the kind of very big vision for a young person. I received many discouragements but the vision of running a grocery store is still the scene i imagine the most in my mind.
The other goal i want to achieve is to become a CPA. Before i chose Accounting as my major i already knew that i would do pretty well in Accounting. Because i know i am a good rule follower and i am pretty good at detail oriented works. As we all know that it takes time to become a CPA. I think there are two important things i need to focus on. One is gaining my experience in accounting jobs; the other is to know some people who is also plan accounting as their career because in the future these people may become my business partners.
My third goal is about my personal life. In my culture, children can also be very stressed because our parents always put too much expectation on our kids. They always want us to follow the path as they expect. If i have kids in the future, i hope i could be a democratic parent. I think many American parents are good examples to learn. I like the way they treat their kids as their friends.

Decision Making
Last time we were required to reach a hundred percent agreement in an hour. Although we encountered a chaos during the process of decision making, I still think it was a very interesting experience because we can see how people responded differently to conflicts. I myself chose to keep quiet because I got an above-average grade and I’m fine with the grade after the curve. About the next exam, I was thinking that the key to improve my grade was to study harder rather than arguing about how to design the test.
I guessed there were quite a few people had the same opinion as me because they also kept silent in the discussion. I didn’t see any very aggressive person in our class and there were a couple of people wanted to leave early to avoid the chaotic discussion. There were also some people stepped out to be the leaders and tried to compromise different ideas. I really admired those people because you need courage to take the responsibility and you may face many different kinds of judgments. I think collaborating in the form of small groups may help to reduce conflicts. My thinking is we can divide people to the groups by the level of grade, and then negotiations are going on among group leaders.

The egg game and planning
The goal we wanted to achieve was to keep an egg from cracking when it was dropped from a 10 feet height. First of all, we reached an agreement that to protect the egg we need to create some space around the egg. Then based on the amount of material we had, each of us expressed the ideas we had in mind. There were eight people in our group, so many options were presented during the discussion. Some of our teammates even started to build a model, which was a "basket", with some paper. In the end, most of us voted for the "basket" plan since our teammates proved it was enfoceable and we were running out of time. However, because of the shortage of time, we didn't get a chance to talk about how the "basket" plan worked. When the execution time began, the situation became kind of akward: only two people were working on the plan, the rest of us had no idea wat was going on there. Forturnately, we got our "Bob" done at the last moment.
Although in the end our "Bob" was broken, it was a very good lesson for us. On the one hand, getting the work done is important; on the other hand, using time effectively and inspiring people to engage positively are also very important.

culture shock
The first difference i noticed was that in the United States, when you sneeze, you need to say "excuse me", then people around you will say "bless you", and of course it will be impolite if you didn't thank them. In my country, usually people have no reaction to someone's sneeze.
The other difference i've experienced was that when i visited my friend's house, she asked, "do you want something to drink?" I was expecting her to treat me with some drinks even though i told her i was not thirsty, but she didn't. In China, usually we don't ask; we just put the drinks (mostly tea) in front of the guest. Even if the guests say they don't want any drink, we still going to bring out the drinks because we think that means you respect and care about your friends.
Oh, there is a remind for you in case you are visiting a Chinese family or eating in a Chinese restaurant. Do not ever stick your chopsticks in the rice because Chinese people only do that in funerals. It reprents an offering for the dead ancestors.
